Healing From Within

At Balance Art Acupuncture McLean, our mission is to restore harmony between mind and body through safe, effective, and compassionate acupuncture care. We combine the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern research to provide holistic treatments that address the root causes of imbalance. Conveniently located in McLean, VA, we proudly serve patients from Arlington, Falls Church, and the greater Washington DC area. Many patients choose acupuncture as a natural alternative or complement to conventional medicine, appreciating its ability to promote healing without side effects.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture in Mclean

Acupuncture is a catalyst for healing the body. Embracing Daoism principles, this very ancient system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been in practice for more than 2000 years. Acupuncture practitioners insert extremely fine, disposable needles with rounded tips just below the surface of the skin. This stimulates Qi, the body's cyclic energy flow (pronounced "chi" or "chee"). By balancing and redirecting Qi, an acupuncture practitioner encourages the body's nature capacity for self-healing. In turn, this improves the way the body functions.

About Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine is a crucial part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and has been practiced for thousands of years, utilizing plants for healing and maintaining health. It differs from pharmaceutical drugs by addressing the root causes of illness, not just the symptoms. Chinese Herbal Medicine is known for its low risk of side effects, with minor gastrointestinal discomfort being the most common issue, which can often be resolved by adjusting the formula. At Balance Art Acupuncture McLean, we ensure the highest quality herbs, certified by Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration, and we prioritize wildlife conservation by avoiding the use of endangered species.
